A reveal guided by gesture
Mazda wanted a reveal that expressed the essence of the new Mazda 6E: precision, elegance, and Japanese design philosophy. Rather than producing a conventional car commercial, we proposed a cinematic piece where movement, light, and calligraphy tell the story.

Collaborating with calligrapher Taro Nordberg, we captured the dialogue between ink and metal. Each stroke, each shadow, each shift of light was choreographed to mirror the design language of Mazda. The car appears gradually, revealed by the movement that precedes it.
The outcome
The hero film became the central asset for launch events in Geneva and Zurich, as well as for digital platforms and social formats. The result is more than a reveal: it’s an artistic interpretation of Mazda’s identity.
This project illustrates how video production for events, creative direction, and precise technical execution can elevate a product launch into an experience that feels intentional, elegant, and emotionally resonant.
